China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Company is a State-owned enterprise which was approved by the State Council in July 1992 and has a registered capital of 500 million RMB. In early 2018, it was restructured into "China Shougang International Trade & Engineering Corporation" (referred  to as "CSGI"). It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shougang Group mainly engaged in import and export trading, overseas engineering contracting, urban services , modern logistics and other extended  businesses. CSGI operates and manages Shougang Hierro Peru S.A.A, and overseas branches around  the world.CSGI is Shougang Group's window to the rest of the world, serving as a bridge and link to international markets.

After over thirty years of development, CSGI's sales revenue, total imports and exports and realized profits have increased significantly. Its main operating indicators have continued to increase, and state-owned assets have achieved value preservation and appreciation.

CSGI is the demonstration of China's reform and opening up policy, Pioneering its way along China's  "Going global " policy and the Belt and Road Initiatives. It also supports Shougang Group's international  trading platform and the "manufacturing + service" of the steel industry.
